2つの伝説が、1つの楽器に 伝説のシンセサイザー開発者2人によるアナログ・ポリシンセ、Tom Oberheim x Dave Smith Instruments OB-6 Dave Smith Instrumentsは新しいアナログ・ポリフォニック・シンセサイザーOB-6を発表しました。

OB-6はデイヴ・スミスと並ぶ伝説的なシンセサイザー開発者であるトム・オーバーハイムとの共同開発により生まれた新しい6ボイス・ポリフォニック・アナログ・シンセサイザーで、オール・アナログ・シグナルパス、ディスクリートVCOとVCFを搭載しています。

OB-6が誇るサウンドエンジンはオリジナルの Oberheim SEM にインスパイアされており、現代のテクノロジーの安定性と柔軟性を持ち、ヴィンテージSEMトーンを提供するように設計されています。

Dave Smithは言います。

」 OB-6の機能はボイス毎に2つのディスクリート VCO(サブオシレーター搭載)、連続可変波形(ノコギリ波とパルス幅可変のパルス波、オシレーター2には三角波を搭載)、ボイス毎にクラシックSEMにインスパイアされたステイト・バリアブル・フィルター(ローパス、ハイパス、バンドパス、ノッチ)を搭載。

VCAのシグナル・パスは全てアナログです。

X-Mod はフィルター・エンベロープとオシレーター 2がモジュレーションソースとなり(バイポーラー・コントロール)、デスティネーションとしてオシレーター1のフリーケンシー、シェイプ、パルスワイズ、フィルター・カットオフ、そしてフィルターモードをモジュレーションすることができます。

音作りに必要な機能は全てフロントパネルにあり、全てのパラメーターをユーザーが直感的にコントロールすることができます。

マニュアル・スイッチを有効にすればライブ・パネルモードになり、全てのセッティングがその時のノブとスイッチの設定になります。

デュアルエフェクト・セクションは、スタジオ品質のリバーブ、ディレイ(スタンダードタイプと BBD)、コーラス、そしてかつてトム・オーバーハイムが開発し伝説的なエフェクターブランドであるMaestroから発売され高い称賛を得たフェイズ・シフターとリングモジュレーターを再現し新たに搭載。

エフェクトはデジタル 24bit 96kHz の高解像度で、フル・アナログ・シグナルパスのためにトゥルー・バイパスにすることも可能です。

また OB-6 はマルチモードのアルペジエーターと最大64ステップ(1ステップあたり最大6ノートを記録可能)のポリフォニック・ステップ・シーケンサーを搭載しています。

和音での入力に対応し、外部 MIDI クロックと同期することができます。

フルサイズの4オクターブ・セミウェイテッド・キーボードはベロシティとアフタータッチに対応しています。
